Jersey Airport (JER)
Travel and Ground Transport

(Jersey, Channel Islands)

Jersey Airport (JER) Travel and Transport: Ferry pictureLocated 5 miles / 8 km west of St. Helier, Jersey Airport has a good range of ground transportation options including local buses, commercial shuttles, limousine services and taxis. Additionally, many lodgings on the island have their own complimentary airport transfer services.

Shuttle Buses

Local bus number 15 operates between the JER terminal and the main bus station in central St. Helier. Buses operate from around 07:00 to 23:00 and run at least hourly. There is a more limited service on Sundays and public holidays. Current timetables can be obtained from the airport website. In addition to local buses, commercial shuttles operate during the mornings, afternoons and evenings, usually running tours that cover all parts of the island.

Hotel Shuttles

Jersey is a small island and relatively easy to get around, allowing accommodation providers of all sizes to operate courtesy airport pick-up and drop-off services for their guests. Arrangements need to be made prior to your arrival on the island; visitors should contact their lodgings directly or their travel agent to arrange transfers in advance.

Limousines

There are a few companies offering personal chauffeuring services on Jersey, whereby you can have your own vehicle professionally driven by a driver who is familiar with the island. The chauffeur can also act as a guide and an interpreter if needed.

Taxi Cabs

Both metered and pre-booked taxis operate from JER terminal. There is a dedicated taxi stand outside Baggage Reclaim, with cabs running to all parts of the island. Fares vary according to the time of day you travel. Pre-booked taxis are more expensive, but convenient and await their passengers in the main parking lot that is adjacent to the taxi stand.
